Square Enix has announced that it will be reinstating its "Return Home to Vana'diel" program to attract old players back to Final Fantasy XI. This will be the second time that Square Enix has run such a campaign and it appears to be in preparation for its release of the latest expansion: "Wings of the Goddess." Returning players will also have a chance at receiving an in-game "Anniversary Ring" that offers an experience bonus to the character who wears it, but like all good things, it appears to have a maximum duration of time. According to the Final Fantasy XI Official Site, this in-game gift is a limited-time offer, so if you're interested, you better act quickly.

The campaign officially kicked off on Sept. 25, 2007 and is expected to continue until Feb. 29, 2007.
